Anne Arundel Medical Center’s Diabetes Center offers individuals with diabetes, a central location for coordinated, accessible and comprehensive diabetes services.
Certified diabetes educators (CDEs) see patients who are newly diagnosed with diabetes or those who want to update their knowledge and improve their self-management skills. These people may have Type I, Type 2, or gestational diabetes.
The hospital’s program is designed to assist people with self-management skills so they can avoid the disabilities associated with diabetes by providing individual counseling, education classes, free quarterly foot screenings and support groups.
